We are a group of local writers who meet regularly to exchange ideas and helpful comments on their writings.
Marion Hough has been a published writer for over thirty years. She was a columnist in newspapers and magazines nationwide before specialising in writing for children.
Pearl was born and brought up in Lincolnshire. After working in South Africa and Australia she now lives in Essex with her husband. She has written various short stories and poems and, whilst working for a volunteer organization. produced a volunteers’ magazine.
Carol Edwards has been a freelance writer for many years. As well as writing and publishing five local history books, has had a number of articles published in various magazines as well as two interviews in the local paper.
In 2005 I entered a 3 act play in a competition called ‘Naked Talent’ for the Essex Playwrights Festival. The play entitled ‘Head in the Clouds’, came fifth.
I have a great passion for writing plays and have to date written over a dozen one-

Rose Griffin writes the Tales of Avalon series under the pseudonym Daisy Bourne. She loves writing and has had some success. her first book in the series The New Land Pacific was one of Pacific Book Review's five Books of the Month in January 2016 and appeared on
the front cover of its magazine.
Her second book, The Land of Twydell and the Dragon Egg achieved finalist status in the USA’s Eric Hoffer awards.
Rosalind has been writing since a teenager. She writes a variety of short works, especially poetry, some of which have been published and broadcast.
I was born in Surrey in 1950. I was the baby of the family, as it was second time round for both my parents, who each had a son from a previous marriage.
After many years as a primary school teacher, Viv turned to writing. She has published several humorous articles, including full page pieces in YOURS and MY WEEKLY magazines and AWEN, a small press publication.
